Welcome to Huron County Cooks

Huron County Cooks was created with a simple but powerful idea: food brings people together. Whether it’s learning a new recipe, cooking alongside your kids, or building confidence in the kitchen, we believe food is about more than what’s on the plate—it’s about connection, care, and community.

Behind Huron County Cooks are two local women who share a deep love for food, people, and meaningful experiences: Lindsey and Danica.

Meet Danica

Danica is the heart behind Snacks & Stuff Childcare, a small-group program in the Goderich area that brings fun, learning, and exploration to toddlers and kids up to Grade 6. A local mom with more than 30 years of experience delivering children’s programs, Danica blends creativity, safety, and community-based adventure into every single day.

Living in Holmesville, Danica is also a former Registered Nurse who now designs community food programs and children’s activities full-time. She lives on a farm, has a deep appreciation for organic food, and believes strongly in teaching kids where food comes from and how it nourishes both body and mind.

Her passion for kids, cooking, and caregiving gives her a unique understanding of what families value most: trust, flexibility, meaningful experiences… and satisfying snacks! Whether she’s preparing food with children or creating programs that spark curiosity, Danica leads with heart.

Meet Lindsey

Lindsey lives in Grey County and brings a love of food experiences and community connection to Huron County Cooks. She believes that food is one of the most powerful ways we learn, share stories, and build relationships—across generations and backgrounds.

Lindsey is especially passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people feel confident trying something new, whether that’s a family cooking class, a batch-cooking session, or a community workshop. For her, food is about joy, discovery, and the memories we create along the way.

Cooking With Purpose

Together, Lindsey and Danica created Huron County Cooks as a place where learning meets laughter, and where cooking feels approachable, fun, and rooted in local values. From family-friendly classes to programs for adults, seniors, and kids, everything we do is designed to reflect the needs of real families in our community.

We’re so glad you’re here—and we can’t wait to cook with you.
